Subway Shadow

Subway Shadow by Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free retro shadow serif with the chunky, easygoing feel of old storefront signs. The letters are broad and soft-edged, with big rounded serifs and a deep offset shadow that does most of the talking, giving the font a buoyant, slightly cartooned 1970s flavor.

It fits poster headlines, cafe branding, packaging, title cards, and event flyers where a short line needs that built-in layered punch. As a free font, it also makes sense for logos, cover lines, and other brief display settings, because the shadow is part of the personality rather than an effect you have to add later.
