Thorup Sans Bold is a free condensed sans serif with a distinctly retro display character. Exceptionally tall letters, narrow rounded curves, and nearly even strokes recall vintage poster lettering, with the close spacing forming a strong vertical pattern.
Restaurant branding can draw on that storefront flavor, while music posters use the elongated silhouette for a sharper contemporary result. Fashion packaging and event graphics suit its lean proportions. Across these applications, the repeated uprights let words function as a striped graphic element rather than ordinary neutral type.
