SF Covington SC Bold by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry is a free condensed serif font with striking thick-thin contrast. Its tall caps combine hairline curves, sturdy vertical strokes, and sharp horizontal serifs for a formal, slightly theatrical look.

Editorial design is its strongest setting, especially for fashion magazine covers and dramatic section openers. It also suits poster titles and upscale packaging. The narrow proportions and needle-fine curves lend those applications the elegance of vintage display typography.
