SF Avondale Inline by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry is a free old-school varsity display font with broad collegiate capitals and a sturdy slab-serif build. A slim inset line traces the main strokes and supplies a second layer of athletic detailing. The letters combine squared corners with rounded outer curves, so the construction feels substantial rather than rigid.

Sportswear brands and school clubs could adopt it for merchandise and signage, since the outlined structure recalls team jackets and stadium graphics. It also suits event posters and game promotions built around competition or local pride. In publishing, the inset detailing could turn a sports magazine cover into a badge-like piece of artwork.
